1994 Recalled Legends of the West Souvenir Sheet Controversy Collection, a fascinating collection centralized on one of the 183 original Legends of the West sheets that was sold (for $4,150) just prior to U.S.P.S. Board of Governors announcing the offering of 150,000 of the recalled sheets to the collecting public; the collection includes photocopy of the original ad, buyer letter and check, P.F. application, original letter from the P.F. and certificate, copies of the actual lawsuit filed against the U.S.P.S. attorney letters, appeals filing, etc., also the array of Linn's articles chronicling this story, additional reissued sheets, gutters, cards, etc. Estimate $300 - 400.
