"Pyramid N.M., 6/7/83" (Hidalgo), manuscript postmark ties 3¢ green (207) on cover to Sandy Hill N.Y., original "The Pyramid Gold and Silvery Mining and Reduction Company" letterhead enclosure from company lawyer John Teller to his mother; slight cover toning, reduced slightly at right, a Very Fine postmark (Type A) The only recorded Pyramid N.M. manuscript postmark use.
Estimate    $150 - 200.

Pyramid was a mining settlement nine miles south of Lordsburg in the Pyramid Mountains. Only prospects and mine shafts are left of what was never a very profitable area.
