Frazer & Co., 1845-51, 2¢ black on pink, neat manuscript "2" cancel, clear to large margins, certificate mentions small closed tear at bottom right which we find no evidence of, Very Fine, a great Cincinnati local rarity - with only two on cover usages are recorded and at least three off cover examples are known; with 2000 P.F. certificate.Scott No. 69L2 $3,500.
Hiram Frazer established Frazer & Co. in 1845 while he was a Cincinnati letter carrier. His Eagle design issues used between February 3rd of 1848 and June 30th of 1849 are considered to be carrier stamps.
