Newfoundland, Airmail, 1932, $1.50 on $1 Dornier DO-X Flight, tied by two strikes of blue "Holyrood, MY 20, 32" cds on cover mailed back to St. John's bearing Germany 25pf blue tied by "Holtenau, 29.7 32" cds, reverse with St. John's (8.16) machine arrival backstamp, Very Fine.

ONE OF ONLY THREE RECORDED FLIGHT COVERS FROM HOLYROOD.

A few covers were sent back to Newfoundland from Holtenau, Germany similarly franked. Only three are recorded, and one is signed by DO-X Engineer Harry Brewton - so it is assumed he is responsible for these interesting uses.
