AN EXCEPTIONALLY RARE EXAMPLE OF THE LAND & SEA POST INVERTED OVERPRINT VARIETY.
With shortages of 15¢ stamps in 1933, the 1931 Airmail Stamp was overprinted "L. & S. Post" at the offices of D. R. Thistle signifying use for land and sea mail. The setting of 25 was used on 2800 sheets printed, with only one sheet of printed with an inverted overprint.
