1893, Columbian, 5¢ chocolate, tied by "San Francisco, Cal. Dec 18 '93" cds duplexed with barred oval killer on cover to Yokohama, Japan in care of the U. S. Consul General, deemed double-weight and San Francisco "25 CTMS T" due handstamp struck at lower right, Yokohama Meiji (1.13) arrival backstamp, deficiency paid with Japan 10s brown orange (79) tied by brown Japanese character framed handstamp, matching "Due '10' " in circle handstamp below; couple small flaws, Very Fine and scarce Columbian Issue-Japan combination.

1893, Columbian, 15¢ dark green, tied by "Washington, D.C., Nov 27 '93" duplex on 1893 Imperial German Embassy, Washington D.C. corner card cover to German Occupied Poland, addressed to an army officer in the artillery regiment at Custrin, red embassy wax seal on reverse, Custrin (12.8) arrival backstamp, Very Fine and scarce triple-5¢ UPU rate use to German Occupied Poland.

Küstrin is a town in Gorzów County, Lubusz Voivodeship in western Poland, close to the border with Germany. The town recovered from being burnt to the ground by retreating French forces in 1814, and became one of the most important railway hubs in the Kingdom of Prussia and later the German Empire. After WWII, the ruined town was placed under Polish administration by decision of the Potsdam Conference.
