Hawaii, Legation De Suede Et Norvege, bold purple handstamp of the United Kingdoms of Sweden & Norway Legation showing dual coat of arms, on reverse of ca. 1885 cover to Kohala, franked with 1883, 1¢ green, horizontal pair tied by segmented target handstamps, matching "Honolulu, H.I., Nov 27" cds, Very Fine and choice, very rare, the earlier of two types of this cachet handstamp.

On Jul 1, 1852, a treaty was signed between Sweden and Norway and the Hawaiian Kingdom in Honolulu. Union between the Kingdoms of Sweden and Norway lasted from 1814 to 1905.
