Manning, Governor of South Carolina at Manchester S.C., turned inside use with Manchester ms. "Paid 10" rating to Ex. Gov. Manning at Columbia, ms. "Chg Box JLM" notation at top right; tiny edge tear, Very Fine and unusual turned combination use.

Confederacy, 1862, 5¢ blue, Archer & Daly printing, horizontal pair, ample to large margins, manuscript canceled on 1863 cover with neat strike of "Va. C.R.R., Cobham, Jan 7" cds with military address to Lt. Col. A.L. Rives, Engineer Bureau, War Department in Richmond, Va., Very Fine.
