Rakaia leaving Wellington on August 8th with mail arriving at Southampton on September 27th, newspaper with contents including an articles on "Wild Bull Hunting in Australia", "Bishop Selwyn's Fairwell Address at Auckland" and illustrations of Bishop Harper, Otago Benevolent Institute and the Custom House, Dunedin; small portion of newspaper front missing and soiling slightly affecting stamp, F.-V.F., ex-Woolfe, Hackmey and Benvie; with 2006 R.P.S.L. and 2014 Odenweller certificates. In 1864 Davies printed a sheet of the 2d from plate I which he sent to Perkins, Bacon with a request for a new plate.
