A VERY RARE NEVER HINGED SET OF THE 1943 OBELISK ISSUE WITH HANDSTAMPED SURCHARGES.

These sets where intended for distribution to V.I.P. guests by Emperor Selassie during the inauguration ceremony of a new monument honoring the fallen during the Italian Occupation. Of these 40 sets, ten were set aside for inclusion in souvenir folders, favor cancels, etc., leaving only 30 mint sets available.
