Milam & Holmes Machine Cancel, Lytle, Ga., Jun 4, 1898., Type 5 repeater marking on nice Spanish-American War Chickamauga Park patriotic cover tying 2¢ carmine; light stain, Very Fine, an unusually complete and clear strike of this rare machine cancel.Estimate $200 - 300.
This was used on this first day of this marking, which is recorded for only three days, June 4-6. Its rubberized cancelling die probably wore out quickly as most strikes are incomplete.

This is one of only a few third class usages known with this machine cancel, each has the date slugs removed.
