Treaty Steamships, collection balance of approx. 65 covers including 1840 London to South Berwick Me. carried on 3rd Cunard Acadia voyage, 1840 Berne, Switzerland to New York carried on 3rd Cunard Britannia voyage, 1843 Halifax N.S. to Boston, 1848 Spain to Boston via Baring Bros London, 1848 Liverpool to Philadelphia via Boston, 1847 Liverpool to Quebec via Halifax, 1847 New Orleans La. to London, 1843 (Jun. 1) Liverpool to Philadelphia carried on the last westbound voyage of Cunard Line Columbia (she ran aground near Seal Island N.S. on the return trip), 1848 letter carried on the last westbound sailing before retaliatory rates, etc.

Treaty, better exhibit balance of 17 covers on pages, includes 1840 (Oct. 1) Boston to London on Britannia's 2nd return voyage, 1841 (May 1) Boston to London on Columbia 2nd return voyage, 1848 (Mar. 25) London to New York on Cambria which was forced to a Sunday sailing due to Liverpool Post Office processing Acadia's incoming mail, 1841 (Aug. 19) Liverpool Montreal via Halifax on Britannia, 1843 (May 18) England to New York carried on last voyage of Columbia (she ran aground on return voyage), 1847 Leeds to Boston with red "22" handstamp, etc.; some faults but overall a great basis for further study, F.-V.F., Part of the award winning "Seafarer" exhibit collection.
