Mexico, 1884-85 Medallions With District Overprints, one of the most complete collections ever assembled; 86 medallions mostly used representing 25 overprints with no duplication, although the rule of printing a district overprint in each stamp had ended in 1883, some districts continued doing so at the beginning of the Medallion issue, very few are known, this collection is the result of 50 years of the patient collecting of the late Jay Bart from Chicago, a unique assembly, districts include Apam, Cuernavaca, Chiapas, Etzatlan, Guajanuato, Hermosillo, Jalapa, Mascota, Oaxaca, Maravatio, Monterrey, San Francisco, San Luis Potosi, Tacubaya, Tampico, Tehuacan, Tlalpujahua, Saltillo, Soyaniquilpam, Texcoco, Tlaxcala, Tula, Veracruz and Victoria, the group includes 11 not listed in the 2015 Nick Follansbee catalog, Very Fine overall.

Mexico, 1886-95 Numeral Issue Gold Medal Collection Balance, 29 uncommon covers and 59 stamps carefully selected for either their margins and centering (e.g. an unused block of 4 of 5c green lines Sc #204 cat $200; block of 10 n.h. of 20c dark lilac Sc #220a cat $1,600), or the rare cancels like Villa del Valle, Quintero, Ometepec, Pinos, Zacoalco, Villa Garcia, Huehuetamo, Nochistlan, Aramberri, Cosamaloapam, Altotonga, Acayucan, San Miguel del Milagro, Tolimalejo, Pahuatlan, Topia, Lampazos, etc., covers include a block of 10 1c from Polotitlan, and other small towns like Tumbala, Tezontepec, Jesus Maria, Zihuatlan, Etla, Opdepe, Meztitlan, Jaltipan and uncommon usages of 12c lilac and red, registered postal card to Germany and a very attractive cover from San Miguel Allende with the very uncommon 25c lilac, many covers are registered, unusual large wrapper with a 10c postage from Oaxaca with pen decoration all over stands out, pair of covers which paid postage with postal cards or postal wrappers are included too as well as 2 stained proofs in India paper on card cut to shape and framed by golden ovals of the 5 and 10 peso which are very rare, overall Very Fine.
