Mexico, (Puebla) Intendencia de Puebla de Los Angeles, 1811 folded letter with manuscript "Viva Fernando Septimo" at top, from Arizpe, fresh and Extremely Fine, very rare and very dangerous since written in 1811 after the Revolution of Independence.
Estimate    $500 - 750.

When the Spanish king was prisoner of Napoleon, the post offices in the Colonies were supposed to add "Viva Fernando Septimo" to their correspondence. Very few exist from Mexico, probably due to the War of Independence was happening at the same time.
