Lot 203

William J. Clinton, Document Signed "Bill Clinton" as Governor, document is a proclamation setting the date for the execution of Darryl V. Richley, accompanied by photocopy of the typed transmittal letter to the Direction of the Arkansas Department of Correction; file folds, Fine.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

Darryl V. Richley (1951-1994) was executed at the age of 45 for the March 25, 1981 murder of Don Lehman. Hoyt Clines and James William Holmes were also executed on the same day for the murder of Lehman. The U.S. Supreme Court rejected arguments they were treated like "hogs at a slaughter". It was the nation's first triple execution in 32 years.
