1847, 5¢ orange brown, part o.g., ample margins, strong bright orange brown color, faint virtually indiscernible horizontal crease along top frameline, otherwise Very Fine, a lovely original gum example of the 1847 5¢ Franklin Issue in the scarce orange brown shade; with 2005 P.F. certificate. Scott No. 1b $10,000.
To date, only four mint original gum examples of the 5¢ orange brown have been certified by the Philatelic Foundation. All but one are in sound condition.
