Mexico, 1868, 12c Hidalgo Issues, stamps illustrated in the classic 1935 reference Les Premieres Emmissions du Mexique by Paul de Smeth and Marquis de Fayolle. These stamps are the famous retouches and are identified by retouch type and by the page in Smeth/Fayolle on which the appear:

Mexico, 1868, 50c Black on Yellow, Veracruz, imperf, cons 2-71, Veracruz "Extraordinario" wrapper carried via courier Rafael Veraza to Puebla, regular rate for such a letter was 25c and this was doubled for Extraordinario service, Veracruz postmark and docketing dated 23 February 1872, Very Fine.
