1869, 6¢ Ultramarine, two singles, used with 1870, 3¢ green on registered 3¢ green entire with preprinted addressed to Messrs. L.D. Fay & Co. in St. Louis Mo., "Norwich Conn. Dec 3" cds, blue registry number; light staining affects 3¢, reduced at right, Fine and rare mixed issue combination.

1869, 10¢ Yellow, vibrant color, used with 1869, 2¢ brown and 3¢ blue pair, all tied by segmented grid cancels duplexed with indistinct Hartford, Ct. July 8th cds on cover from the Warner correspondence to Gothenburg, Sweden, endorsed "via N. German Union" at lower left, red "New York 'Paid All Direct' Jul 9" exchange backstamp, red "Bremen Franco, 21/ 7" framed transit and matching "Weiterfranco" framed handstamp (paid beyond) and "4" credit handstamp; cover repaired at left, Very Fine appearance, A scarce 1869 use to Sweden with an attractive three-color franking.

1869, 10¢ Yellow, large margins and bright color, tied by circular cork handstamp on 1870 folded letter to Altona, Germany, "San Francisco, Cal., Apr 10" origin cds, red Hamburg boxed transit date stamp and reverse with red "Chicago, Paid All, Direct, Apr 17" cds, forwarded to Berlin, Very Fine.

1869, 15¢ Brown & Blue, Type I, Horizontal Pair, tied by cork cancel paying double the 15¢ per quarter ounce rate (April 1, 1857 to December 31, 1869) on cover to France, treated as underpaid with "New York, 18, Jun 19" cds and "Insufficiently Paid" straightline handstamp, "16" decimes due handstamp crossed out and blue boxed "Pd" handstamps (Paid to Destination) applied at Calais; right stamp slightly overlapping edge at right, Very Fine, a rare and unusual multiple usage of the 1869, 15¢ Brown & Blue, Type I issue on cover; with 1995 P.F. certificate.

Sent via Inman Line - Per steamer City of London, departing New York on June 19th and arriving at Queenstown on June 29th and at Liverpool on June 30th.
