Liberia, (Woermann Line) Deutsche Seepost, Linie Hamburg, Westafrika, LIV., 12.12.10, clear strike of oval date stamp tying 1905, 1¢ light green + 1906, 1¢ Official on fresh picture post card to Hamburg, Germany, Very Fine and choice, a very attractive use of the extremely rare "LIV." Woermann agent date stamp and quite possibly unique Liberian usage.
Scott No. 56+O46    Estimate $300 - 400.

This is one of four agent numbers Cockrill was unable to locate on Liberian stamps (see Series Booklet No. 7., page 3).

Liberia, (Woermann Line) Deutsche Seepost, Linie Hamburg, Westafrika, LX., 22/10 23, oval date stamp tying 1918, 5¢ gray blue & black on cover to New York City, reverse with "Freetown, Sierra Leone, C, Oc 29, 23" transit cds; cover with minor small edge tears at bottom, otherwise Very Fine, a very rare agent numeral date stamp with only one example recorded in Cockrill (19.9.23).
