Great Britain, 1879 Hand-illustrated cover front, large (10½" x 8½") front with an all-over watercolor scene depicting a "Wolfman" in Top Hat and Tails Playing a Mandolin and Serenading a Couple on a Beach, the man apparently having fallen into a drunken stupor while the woman reads, franked with a ½d & a 1d stamp tied by London "76" duplex cancels; affixed to a backing card, stamps faded and there are a couple light creases but, nonetheless, quite spectacular.Estimate $150 - 200.
