Confederacy, Petersburg, Va., 1861, 5¢ red, four enormous margins with part of the adjacent stamp visible to the right and an excellent deep red color, tied by a neat strike of the blue Petersburg, Va/Nov. 5 (1861) cds on lemon cover to James House Esq, Gaston N.C., cover has been professionally cleaned as was the common practice of the late Mr. John Hill, however there was no evidence of soiling or staining in the Caspary description or photograph, Extremely Fine appearance, this is the finest looking Petersburg adhesive we have ever seen, ex-Caspary, Hill.
