Perfect full strike of oval postmark in red (Yag-Bash ML1-10) on ca. 1770 folded letter to San Miquel; reinforced corner wear, an Extremely Fine strike, a magnificent example of this "Correo Mayor" colonial handstamp, one of only three examples recorded.Estimate $5,000 - 7,500.
Valladolid was the former name for Morelia before 1828.
