Mexico, (Morelia) Valladolid. Perfect full strike of oval postmark in red (Yag-Bash ML1-10) on ca. 1770 folded letter to San Miquel; reinforced corner wear, an Extremely Fine strike, a magnificent example of this "Correo Mayor" colonial handstamp, one of only three examples recorded.
Estimate    $5,000 - 7,500.

Valladolid was the former name for Morelia before 1828.

Mexico, (Oaxaca) Oaxaca. 4 different postmarks on 2 covers and 2 fronts; ca. 1800's front with straight line postmark (Yag-Bash OJ1) and other front with two-line postmark (OJ4), both to Guatemala with "Real Factoria" wreath and crown cachet handstamp, 1828 folded letter with boxed postmark (OJ3, non-contemporary date on front) and 1838 folded letter with boxed date stamp (OJ5), Very Fine overall.
Estimate    $500 - 750.

Mexico, (Orizava) Orizava. 3 covers; with 1807 straight line postmark (Yag-Bash OR1) on official seal cover to Teutitlan, red boxed date stamp (OR4) on 1838 folded letter sheet in red and in greenish blue on folded letter sheet with matching boxed "Franco" handstamp, Very Fine.
