Ample margins to just in at lower left, tied by dotted diamond cancel on cover to Calicuta, India, "Cannes, 7 Avrll, 52" origin cds and stamp additionally tied by "Bombay, My 8 1852, TR Postage 8, Nld Do 8" date and rate stamp, reverse with receiving boxed date stamp, with original enclosure; faint cover staining, otherwise Very Fine, a rare destination. Maury No. 6.

Group of 5 items, including 2 1858 usages to Vera Cruz franked with imperf 80c Emperor Napoleon, one with pair postmarked Paris and endorsed "Paquebot à vapeur via d'angleterre", red boxed "P.P." and London transit; the other with 4 margin single with lozenge "441" killer and Bordeaux cds with boxed "P.P." and London transit; another 1872 usage to Vera Cruz franked with perf 80c Emperor + pair of perf 25c Repub Ceres, with appropriate red markings; another 1868 cover to Amboise with blue oval corner handstamp of chocolate manufacturer and wonderful elaborately illustrated invoice; please inspect, F.-V.F. lot.
