Stamp shows the three varieties in the overprint: inverted "s", dropped "h" of British, and broken top of A in Africa; squared circle "Mombasa / A / JU 6 /96" ties stamp to cover, receiver with same date on reverse; certificate states the triple overprint variety occurs in position 60 in the setting of 120 subjects, only on late printings; scarce and attractive; with 2010 Sismondo certificate. Exceptional strike of crown circle handstamp on 1856 folded tissue paper letter to Buenos Ayres, franked with Spain 1855, 2r reddish violet, vertical pair tied by oval grid handstamps, blue "Cadiz, 11 May, 56" origin cds, reverse with "Teneriffe, Au 16, 1856" British transit and red Santa Cruz cds's, Very Fine and choice, a rare usage via the Canary Islands.
