1857, 10¢ green, type II, horizontal strip of three. Perfs scissor separations with bottom perfs intact and top perfs trimmed, tied by light strike of New Orleans, La. cds on 1858 folded letter sheet to Mexico City, "pr Tennessee" ship endorsement, inside docketing indicates cover may have been carried outside of the mails from Glasgow to New Orleans, bold "12" reales due handstamp; left stamp with printing flaw at bottom left, Fine, ex Schimmer.

1857, 10¢ green, type III. Rich bright color, tied by bold blue "Cincinnati, O., Apr 29" cds on fresh cover addressed to Lieut. Jas. McPherson on Alcatraz Island in San Francisco, Cal. who later became a Maj. General and Commander of the Army of Tennessee in the Civil War, Very Fine, a very scarce destination.

1857, 12¢ black, plate I, horizontal pair. Tied by bold blue "Cincinnati, O., Jan 10" cds's on 1859 cover to London, England, red London entry postmark and manuscript docketing on face; light cover toning around stamps (Weiss cert. states cover stains lightened and left stamp with short perf at bottom left which we feel are in error), otherwise Very Fine; with clear 1983 P. Alcuri certificate and 2009 W. Weiss certificate.
