Open boxed date stamp in red (MH 756) on locally used 1893, 1¢ Provisional postal card, with matching "Unclaimed, Non reclame" handstamp (MH 766), canceled by "Honolulu, H.I., Jun 19, 1897" duplex postmark and reverse with printed Honolulu Water Works form message in Hawaiian, Very Fine, very scarce dead letter markings used in red for only a short time in 1898.

Oval date stamp in purple (MH unrecorded, 1RR) on locally addressed 1894 1¢ red postal card, with matching "Unclaimed, Non reclame" straight line (MH 766) and "Return to Writer" in pointing hand (MH 755) handstamps, purple "Honolulu, Advertised" cds (MH 751) and canceled by Honolulu duplex postmark; minor card nick at left, still Extremely Fine, a wonderful example of this rare dead letter office marking.

Isls./Rec'd cds and Kamuela cds, routed within Hawaii for 8 months before returned to Germany, Very Fine.

Hawaii, (Incoming) Hamburg, Germany to Honolulu. Folded letter with "Hamburg, 14 Dec 1857" straight line postmark and red "London, Paid, De 16, 57" transit cds, manuscript "2/8" and "42" rates, with "Feb 27, 1858" receiving docketing on reverse; file fold and separation in top flap, F.-V.F., carried from San Francisco on the schooner Sophia departing Feb. 2nd and arriving Feb. 27th.
