Clear full fancy ornate oval wreath postmark in red on 1843 folded letter to New York City, manuscript "Paid 18¾" rate; light file fold affecting townmark, still Very Fine, an attractive and very rare ornamental mortised town handstamp, reported to be one of two known examples, this is the listing example in the ASCC.
