Southbridge. (MAS). Fancy circular date stamp with three-sided lower half, on two folded letters; 1832 in red to High Falls, N.Y. with manuscript "18¾" rate, and 1838 discernable strike in blue with matching "Paid" straight line and manuscript "10" rate; some cover toning, F.-V.F. overall, the red postmark is the listing example in the ASCC & the blue is reported to be the only known example in this color.

Superb bold strike of straight line date stamp on folded letter sheet to Suffield, Conn., manuscript "8 Cents" rate at upper right, with directive at bottom…The postmaster is requested to deliver this to the Stagedriver, that Mr. Phelps may obtain it in favor, Extremely Fine and choice, a magnificent example of this extremely rare postmark, with only two examples known, ex Jarrett, Lounsbery.
