Full strike blue rimless circular date stamp with starburst design at center, on 1829 folded letter to Lowell, Mass., manuscript "Paid 10" rate; few faint tone spots and minor edge wear, an Extremely Fine strike, this is the listing example in the ASCC and one of only two recorded examples of this stunning postmark.

A Postmaster could send or receive letters up to ½ oz. free, but was required to pay extra weight at regular rates.
