Lot 2109 /

Italy Collection, 1862-1980s. A valuable, 99% mint collection in two Lighthouse hingeless albums; the first few pages are loaded with unused high values, including duplication, most of which have no gum; but there are a surprising number of o.g. stamps as well, like 1863-77, 10c buff & 10c blue (#27-28), both with clear 2006 Diena certificates (the latter, though, with a replaced perforation and a 2009 Merone certificate to that effect); Also includes an o.g. B15 with a 2006 Diena certificate. From 1878 onward just about everything is o.g. and F.-V.F. including numerous $100 & up singles and sets (the collection is very nearly complete from 1938 on); we note some better 1925-25 Advertising pairs, C27 (LH) and C42-47 (NH) and much, much more. Beginning with 1945 everything is n.h. and there are pleny of n.h. prior to that as well. There is also some non-Scott material scattered throughout. Condition is somewhat mixed early but becomes F.-V.F. pretty early, making this a tremendous collection for either a dealer or a collector. Huge catalog value.
Estimate    $10,000 - 15,000.
