S.1602 W.F. is the marking of the carrier assigned to deliver mail to the State Buildings on the Exposition grounds. Undelivered mail was held at the Expo. post office for 60 days, then marked "UNCLAIMED" and turned over to the Chicago PO for destruction. Obviously, some items escaped being destroyed.
