(North Carolina) Elizabeth City, N.C., 2 covers; greenish blue circular date stamp on 1839 folded letter to Kingston, Mass. with matching "25" rate handstamp and folded letter sheet with "Eliz.Ct., N.C., Nov 5" cds in similar greenish blue color with "12½" rate handstamp, Very Fine, a rare pair.

(Mexican - American War) Camp Camargo, Mexico, Aug. 25, '46, manuscript postmark with matching 10 rate on brown folded cover to Pittsburgh, Pa., the cover was carried by hand (probably by steamer from New Orleans) and mailed at Cincinnati with red straight line "Steam" & matching "Cincinnati, O." cds, Very Fine, a rare early Mexican - American War cover undoubtedly from a member of General Zachary Taylor's army in Camargoa supply base used during Taylor's assault on Monterrey.
