Steam Mazatlan, oval handstamp and "San Francisco, Cal., Feb 22" cds (Williams SAF-600) on incoming folded letter datelined "Fuerte, Jvre 28 de 1865", with additional "San Francisco, Cal., 10, Feb 22" integral rate cds used as due marking (William SAF-330); cover with some light toning along file fold, otherwise Very Fine, and a very rare usage from El Fuerte, Mexico.

Steam Mazatlan, mostly clear oval handstamp with "San Francisco, Cal., May 25" cds (Williams SAF-790) and crossroad killer tying 1861, 3¢ rose on partially paid ca. 1867 cover, correct double rate of 20¢ with "17" handstamp due marking, forwarded with "Cazenovia, N.Y., Jun 10" cds to New York City; sealed cover edge tears and rough opening at left, otherwise F.-V.F., a scarce double rate cover and the only reported example of the San Francisco "17" due handstamp.

Steam Mazatlan, partially clear oval handstamp with "San Francisco, Cal., Jul 3" cds (Williams SAF-790) and cork killer tying 1861, 3¢ rose, vertical pair on partially paid ca. 1867 cover, correct double rate of 20¢ with manuscript blue crayon "14" due marking, forwarded with "Cazenovia, N.Y., Jun 20" cds to New York City; cover tear at top affecting San Francisco postmark, Fine.

Steam Mazatlan, light discernible strike of oval handstamp on mourning cover to San Francisco, Mexico 10c black single tied by "Mazatlan, 15 Feb, 1875" cds, "San Francisco, Cal., Mar 11" receiving cds (Williams SAF-600), "3" due handstamp with "Advertised" and "Not Found" in circle handstamps, reverse with 8-line "address to street no." directive handstamp, "San Francisco, Cal., Advertised, Mar 22" and blue "Dead Letter Office, May 12, 1875" cds's, Very Fine, a very later usage of this steamship marking and a rare unclaimed usage originating from Mazatlan.

Steam Panama, clear type 1 oval handstamp on cover with "San Francisco, Cal, Jul 26, 1864" cds (Williams SAF-600) with target killer tying 1861, 3¢ rose, incorrect rating of the 10¢ rate with "Due 6" straight line handstamp; cover with small edge tears and trimmed at right into stamp, Fine.

Steam Panama, light red oval handstamp on 1863 folded letter to Salem, Oregon, franked with Chile 1861, 5c orange red strip of 5 just tied by grid cancels, "San Francisco, Cal., Nov 9, 1863" cds (Williams SAF-600) with "10" rate handstamp which indicates the due on a single rate letter and additional "6" handstamp (incorrect rate), red boxed "Franca" at the top right; cover edge wear and splitting at top and sides, Fine, still an attractive usage of the only strike of the Steam Panama handstamp in red known.
