Four items, including one cover from Siberia with Feb. 18, 1919 duplex to N.Y., one with Oct. 29, 1918 double-circle datestamp with Knights of Columbus corner card return address, one with typed "Cabinet du Marechal Foch" and censor's handstamp to Cincinnati, last item is card of Marshall Foch with manuscript "receivements", Very Fine.

American Polish Relief Expedition. 1919 picture postcard from Warsaw, Poland with "R Snidow 1st Lt. C.A.C., A. Pol. Relief Exp." endorsement at top, card sent by courier to Paris where it entered the mails with "U.S. Military Postal Express Service, No. 702, 17 Mai 1929" cds (year date error); non-contemporary notation at lower left, otherwise Very Fine, an extremely rare usage.
Estimate    $500 - 750.

Foreign Postmarks on A.E.F. Mail. Specialized collection of over 50 covers mounted on pages; mostly U.S. with British Army Service usages including the extremely rare discovery copy of the "HK" postmark assigned to the 2nd Army corp, discovery copy of the "Field Psot Office, 21K" cds, very scarce red "8.K" postmark, British A.P.O. S117 "skeleton" postmark, a rare APO SZ22 from Port Said, Egypt, few French items, F.-V.F., a wonderful and rare collection.

Fort Station, N. Mex., Dec 11. Duplex cds tying 3¢ War issue on cover to Chicago, Ill. from German internee in immigration camp, with original enclosures including censored letter (in German) and three photo (two of sender), Very Fine.

French Ambulance Service, 1916-18. Group of 10 covers and 2 cards; mostly U.S. volunteer endorsed "Convois Autos" from Paris France, several "Reserve Mallet" (ammunition trucks), dual U.S. - French censored with U.S. 2¢ Wash-Frank franking, Very Fine.

G. S. Patton, Jr. Signature as censoring officer on 1917 cover, purple censoring handstamp and "U.S. Army Postal Service, No. 2, Aug 5, 1917" postmark, N.Y. - Due 2 Cents entry postmark; light cover toning, F.-V.F., a rare signature from one of the most famous of WWII Generals, General George S. Patton when he was a captain in World War I.
Estimate    $750 - 1,000.

Maj. Gen. Henry T. Allen - A.P.O.'s 927 & 702, 1917-21. Collection 32 covers and cards; with 1921 letter from Maj. Gen. Henry Allen to Fort Riley, Kans sent from A.P.O. 927 the headquarters of the A.F.G. in Coblenz shortly before it closed, with signed enclosure on official letterhead which bemoans the lack of good "riding men" for horseback competition in the Army; other covers with a nice representation of usages from APO 927 and APO 702 (District of Paris) including some scarce items, earliest and latest known usages, etc.; condition well above the norm overall, F.-V.F.
Estimate    $300 - 400.

When World War I began, Maj. Gen. Allen took the 90th Infantry Division to France. After the armistice was signed, he was named commander of all American troops on occupation duty in Germany.

North Russian Expedition, 1918-19. 11 covers and 3 cards to the U.S.; 9 with various 'polar bear' British military "P.B." date stamps including P.B.'s 1, 2 & II, 55 & 66, five with YMCA corner cards, many bearing "North Russian Exp." or "Archangel, Russia" soldier's endorsements, cards including U.S. and British field service cards, one cover with enclosure, usual cover faults, F.-V.F., a remarkable and scarce group.

U.S. Postal Agency, Siberia. 4 covers; three 1918 covers with large rubber bar duplex date stamp, two with Japanese illustrations (one wood cover) and other address to Manila P.I., 1919 killer "1" duplex usage, also 12 unused postcards including real photo and the "Greeting from the A.E.F." in Siberia tri-view card; minor faults including chipping on wood covers, otherwise Very Fine.
