Uruguay Collection, 1856-1960's. Comprehensive collection in two oversized Yvert & Tellier albums, includes Scott #1-3 mint with additional and various 1858 issues, range of 1858-59 issues including multiples, 11 different Sperati reproductions, 1864-66 coat of arms issues mint and used with shades and a 6c salmon used signed Diena, later issues complete or near complete missing only scarcer items including perf and overprint varieties, many in blocks, turn of century issues with imperf between pairs, proofs, etc., similar airmails with parallel mint and used, comprehensive officials with varieties, etc.; condition well above the norm overall, a lovely collection well worth careful inspection.

Many hundreds on stockcards, mostly earlier issues including back-of-the-book; regular issues including substantial hoard of 1864-66 coat of arms issues including shades, multiples, surcharges including 10c on 8c tete beche pair, forgeries, etc., similar 1866-67 Numeral issues with shades, various "Centisimo" varieties, papers, etc., a nice showing of later issues including many overprint varieties including inverted, better high values and sets, etc., airmails with high values and other better present, similar Officials, etc.; well worth careful examination.

Uruguay, 1912-30 Pioneer Airmail Flight Collection. 27 covers mounted on exhibition pages; many scarce to rare flights with highlights including the 1912 Bartolomeo Cattaneo Salto to Montevideo flight (Ebbeler, Oberti & Jones 4-5 known, estimate $5,000-$7,500), 1917 Teodoro Fels flight cover (75 covers carried), 1925 Arapey to Artigas Emergency flight (5-6 known to exist, estimate $3,000), 1926 signed Ramon Franco Montevideo to Buenos Aires flight (about 12 covers existing, estimate $2,500-3,000), 1926 crew signed Duggan Montevideo to Buenos Aires flight (only a few known, Estimate $3,000) and a 1928 signed De Pinillas - Zegarra Peruvian Good Will flight (only a few autograph covers exist, Estimate $2,500-3,000), 1930 Mermoz South Atlantic flights, etc.; a wonderful group of pioneer Uruguay flight covers.
