Belgium, specialized 1850-63, 20c Medallion Issue collection. Hundreds of stamps (one unused) detailed on quadrille pages in large Elbe album; includes a run of forerunners (#2's x5) and other issues, including multiple copies of shades, papers including "cotton" and ribbed, folds, thickness, plate impressions and stages, retouches from identified plates (per Balasse plate varieties), perf varieties, watermarks, cancellations with identified bar and diamond numerals (many socked-on-the-nose), etc., owner's 1975 Prinet Nat. catalog value equal to $8,275; condition varies as to be expected, a lovely classic exhibit and study of these issues, well worth inspection.
