Light yet discernible strike of cds on U.S. 1860 3¢ Star Die entire to New York City, manuscript "2/-" express fee and additionally franked with 1857 3¢ dull red (faulty) tied by red "New York City Delivery, 1ct" cds, cover faults including missing bottom flap and restored at lower left, otherwise Fine, an unusual south to north express usage.

Circular handstamp on turned and reused cover to Hillsboro, Ga., with matching straight line "Paid" boxed handstamp, turned usage from Hillsboro, Ga. and addressed to Barnwell Court House, S.C., with original enclosure datelined "Jasper County, Ga., December 22nd, 1862", light cover toning, F.-V.F., a very rare Provisional usage from Barnwell Court House, S.C., with only three recorded usages known; with 2002 C.S.A. certificate.

W.G. Webb and handcarried to La Grange, cover with light corner wear and filing pinholes at left, Fine, this being one of three known 10¢ Provisional usages from La Grange, Texas.
