Blue double circle date stamp tying 1857, 3¢ dull red, vert. pair + 1¢ blue, type V (clipped perforations) on 3¢ Star Die entire to Dover, N.J., matching blue "Paid" oval handstamp at left, with additional 3¢ all tied by New York cds and grid duplex postmarks, black company frank under stamps at top, two filing pinholes affecting 3¢ at top and cover tear at left, otherwise Very Fine, an apparent 3¢ overpayment of the 10¢ rate.

Two strikes of large blue cds on 1861 3¢ pink entire with black company frank at top, used as paste-up on reverse of red and blue Shield Patriotic with "32rd Regiment O.V.U.S.A." imprint at center, addressed to Scroggsfield, Ohio, some wrinkling in entire, Very Fine, a unusual patriotic usage.
