Stunning illustrated design on lemon cover showing "Six Horse Drawn Stage en Route" to San Juan, roughly opened at left affecting corner card, original enclosure showing similar illustrated letterhead in purple with printed text "Office of Telegraph Stage Line/Daily Line Carrying U.S. Mail and Wells, Fargo & Co's. Express", 1882 letter written in Santa Barbara by Eli Rundell, Agent of the firm to Dr. Thomas Flint, one of the owners of the Stage line, cover carried without postage as this was Office Business, Fine, a very rare item.
