Black on blue label (Mosher WFCX-L290) affixed on 1864-65 3¢ entire to Forest City, Cal. from New Albany Ind. with black on orange American Merchants Union Express Money Package label (Mosher AMUX-L50) of same affixed with manuscript "Paid 12/-" express charge, labels with margins to slightly in, Very Fine and rare, a lovely conjunctive usage carried by the Union Pacific & Central Pacific Railroad Companies & then by stagecoach to Forest City.

Gold Hill, N.T. blue oval handstamp over company frank, addressed to San Francisco, label skinned at top left corner & entire slightly reduced at left, Very Fine.

Spanishtown wax seal on reverse, used in 1870, flap missing, Very Fine and rare.

Spanishtown was the name used at the time by Wells, Fargo & Co. for Half Moon Bay.
