"Murfreesboro, Dec. 31st 1862", multicolored Magnus overall design showing battle, on front of cover addressed on reverse to Cambridge, Maine, partial "Washington, D.C., Mar 5" cds and matching "Due 6" in circle handstamp, with original enclosure datelined "Camp Barry, Washington D.C., March 4th, 64" with general content from soldier including…"oh we hear glorious news here too day that General Gill Patrick is in Richmond and has liberated all of our prisoners confined there…", Very Fine, a very rare used Magnus allover design, unlisted in Bischel.

Jul 11", apparently forwarded to "Hospital Louisville, Ky, then forwarded to Bardstown, Ky and with additional "Received Cairo Jul 17 1862" backstamp cds, slightly reduced at right, F.-V.F., an unusual cover.

"Benton Barracks, St. Louis, Mo.", bird's eye view of barracks design across top of cover to Galesburg, Mich., with "Union Store, Parson & Co., Dealers in Union and Military Goods, St. Louis, Mo." advertising corner card on backflap, franked with 1861, 3¢ rose (65) faulty from overlapping cover and canceled by grid handstamp, "Paducah, Ky., May 6, 1861" cds, some cover edge wear, F.-V.F., one of only two recorded examples by Bischel. Bischel No. 1379.
