Steamer Cote Joyeuse (Red River), lovely, finely struck vessel-named marking in a straightline within an elaborate oval frame, featuring a spread eagle, arrows, stars, and olive branches on grey folded letter addressed to Gorten's Landing, Red River (Louisiana), datelined "New Orleans, February 1845" and is a business correspondence written in French, an Extremely Fine gem, ex-Hall & Jarrett, Illustrated in Milgram.
