Pommerania, Closed Mail Via England (Atlantic Ocean), bold blue two line handstamp on 3¢ postal entire to Germany, uprated with two 1¢ Bank Note tied by "New York Aug. 7, '78" duplex cancels, Very Fine and attractive, Unlisted in Milgram.
Milgram No. 1133A    Estimate $150 - 200.

The maiden voyage of the "Pommerania" took place on Dec. 3, 1873 and she sunk on Oct. 23, 1878 in collision with sailing ship "Moel Eilian" near Folkstone with 50 lives lost.
