"Anchor Line", red printed corner card across top of cover to Buffalo, N.Y. and franked with 3¢ Bank Note tied by blue segmented cork cancel with Chicago, Ill. cds alongside, reverse with lovely illustrated design of "First-Class Screw Steamers" in red & blue, slightly reduced at left, also included is matching printed letterhead dated "Aug. 22, 1873", Very Fine, Unlisted in Milgram.

Anna (Mississippi and Red Rivers), bold and complete shield type handstamp on 1851 folded letter to New Orleans, postmarked red "New Orleans, La., Mar 5" cds with matching "Steam 5" circular handstamp, vertical file fold and small tear at top, also included is 1855 printed freight bill, Very Fine and attractive, Illustrated in Milgram.

From Steamer Anna Perret (Red River and Bayou La Fourche), near complete and well struck red oval on 1858 folded letter from New Orleans to Opelousas (La.), also included is printed 1857 freight bill, Very Fine, ex-Somdal.
Milgram No. 56    Estimate $300 - 400.

Milgram designates this as the variety spelled "PERREY", however it looks like a misformed "T".

Oct 9" cds, small bit of water staining at bottom left, Very Fine and choice, Illustrated in Milgram.
