1870, 1¢ ultramarine, I. grill, N.B.N.C. printing, beautifully centered with large even margins, rich color & strong grill impression, neat strike of bold blue quartered cork cancel, couple of blunt perfs (which are not mentioned on any of the certs. and are of no consequence), otherwise Extremely Fine; with 1991, 2006 P.F. & 2017 P.S.E. certificates, the P.F. certs are for Scott #134, prior to the listing of the I. Grills.

A GORGEOUS AND RARE USED EXAMPLE OF THE 7¢ 1870 NATIONAL BANK NOTE COMPANY I GRILL WITH A FACE FREE NEW YORK FOREIGN MAIL GEOMETRIC CANCEL.

Accompanying certificate states that this is VW Type F22, however that is incorrect as this is much smaller and differs in shape. Unlisted in Kirke.
