Hawaii, On His Hawaiian Majesty's Service, Department of Foreign Affairs, large label affixed to oversized cover addressed to Thomas Ferreira Serpa, Consul in Fayal, Azores, reverse with "Gen. Post Office, Honolulu, May 14, 1878" rimless cds (222.02, 1RRRR) and yellow embossed "Ministry of Foreign Relations" royal crown seal, with San Francisco, Plymouth and Lisbon transit postmarks, front with red London transit and "Franca" in oval handstamp; cover edge wear and missing franking at upper left, Fine appearance, still a very rare official usage and the latest of five recorded usages of this Honolulu postmark used on foreign mail.

Hawaii, Official, 1896, 10¢ bright rose, tied by "Honolulu, H.I., Aug 17, 1898" duplex postmark on legal size "On Hawaiian Government Service., Department of Foreign Affairs" imprint corner card cover to the Hawaiian Consul in Madeira Island, reverse with transit and Funchal receiving postmarks; some cover flaws and stamp with light scuff at top, F.-V.F., a scarce overseas Official stamp usage.
