Hawaii, 1882, King Kamehameha V, 5¢ ultramarine, uprating on 1884, 5¢ blue entire (U4) to Sacramento, Cal. tied by purple "Kohala, Hawaii, Feb 8, 1892" origin cds (282.011), red crayon "3)" noting triple rate with "Honolulu, H.I., Feb 10, 1982" duplex postmark and red "T/25 Centimes" due handstamp, "U.S. Charge, To Collect, 10 Cents" handstamp with U.S. 1891, 10¢ Postage Due (J26) tied by manuscript cancels, reverse with San Francisco transit and Sacramento receiving postmarks, Very Fine.

Hawaii, 1882, Queen Kapiolani, 15¢ red brown, in combination with 1882, 5¢ ultramarine (39) on registered cover to Funchal, Madeira, tied by purple target handstamps, red "Honolulu, Hawaii, Sep 21, 1892" cds with matching "R" registry handstamp, with rare purple "A.R." return receipt handstamp (MH 704, 1RRRR), reverse with "Theo. H. Davies & Co." corner card, Lisbon transit and receiving backstamps; 15¢ with some clipped perfs at upper left, otherwise Very Fine, a rare return receipt handstamp usage, with only three examples reported by Gregory.
Scott No. 41    Estimate $400 - 600.

The sender, E.W. Holdsworth (inscribed in lower left corner), was a dealer and designer of Hawaiian stamps.

Hawaii, 1884, King David Kalakaua, 10¢ red brown, tied by "Honolulu, Apr 11, 1890" duplex postmark on 1889, 1¢ postal card (UX4) to Funchal, Madeira, reverse with receiving cds and purple oval "C. Bolte, Honolulu, H.I." date stamp, with message in Hawaiian, Very Fine, one of two known postal card usages to Funchal, Madeira.
Scott No. 44    Estimate $400 - 600.
