New Zealand, Crown Circle handstamps, on three folded letters; includes "Paid At, Auckland, New Zealand" handstamp on 1849 folded letter to Hobart Town, Van Diemen's Land from the Bishop of Auckland, "Auckland, Ju 2, 1849" origin cds, showing manuscript "6" pence paid and "3" to be paid upon receipt, second "Paid At, Auckland, New Zealand" handstamp on 1857 cover to Exeter, England (used as early stamp supplies were exhausted) with "2" pence paid handstamp and "6" due rating, and "Paid At, Wellington, New Zealand" handstamp on double rate 1849 cover to England with manuscript "4" rate cross out and "1/-" due upon arrival; latter with small cover tear at bottom, Very Fine.

New Zealand, 1853, £1 Bank of Victoria banknote, black proof, "Specimen" overprint, on medium card (191x121mm), using the oval version of the Chalon design at upper left, pencil "April 26, 1853" date at bottom; slight margin soiling, Very Fine, illustrated in Odenweller Postage Stamps of New Zealand 1855-1873 (page 12).
