Ryukyus, - Specialized 1952, "Kai Tei" (revalued) surcharge, 10y on 50s Issue Collection, mostly mint issues neatly displayed and written up on quadrille pages in Scott album; starting with the basic stamp types and postal announcement card of surcharge issue, a breakdown of the 3 printings starting with 1st printing with varieties including #16Ab in pair and used, white sky 16Ad, 16Ae mint and in strip on cover, 16Ac, 16Af in margin strip on cover, and a variety of non-Scott listed varieties, 2nd printing with #16e in strip, 16j in pair, 16i in pair and 16h in pair, inscription block, two Higa block in different inks, scarce 9.8 point (16d) strip of five on cover and again many non-Scott listed varieties, 3rd printing includes two #16Ba in block, 16Bf in block, 16Bg in pair, 16Bh in block, inscription block, strip on cover, two used Gushikawa postal forgeries, also section of shifts, cancels on and off cover and some non-surcharge sheets in quantities and a used plating 35% complete; an ideal collection for further continuation.Scott No. 16 Estimate $750 - 1,000.

St. Helena, QV Cork Cancellation Collection, of more than 380 stamps selected for clarity of strike, on black stock sheets in date order. Assembled with the widest possible variety of cancels for each stamp issued. An excellent offering for the aficionado of these marking and an ideal companion to the previous lot. Some mixed condition and a few n/c, the strikes generally F-VF.Estimate $1,500 - 2,000.

St. Lucia, QV//QEII Miscellaneous Group, used accumulation of interesting odds and ends, some town cancels with Choiseul, Macoud, Laborie, paquebots, numeral 37 on QV 1d etc. The QV includes 2d strip of 5, values to the 1891-98 5/ and 10/; KEVII to the 1905 and 1907 5/ values both on piece, 1/ block of 4; KGV includes a nice assortment of cancels, 2½d orange, 1924 2/6, 1936 short set to the 5/ each on piece. Also a few KGVI and QEII blocks and more.Estimate $300 - 400.

St. Vincent, QV//QEII Collection, of over 150 mint and used singles, pairs and blocks with value equally divided between the 1861-80 Perkins Bacon issues and the 1882-97 De la Rue issues. Includes first issue imperf pair, 1862 6d mint strip of 3, several De la Rue proofs, QV 1d with village cancels maritime cancels, used Silver Weddings (2) and a few KGVI and QEII with Sion Hill, Bequia and Mustique cancels. A few forged cancels n/c. Quality and centering on the early issues much above average. (SG £2,300+).Estimate $400 - 600.

Salvador, Specialized Early Issue Collection, 1867-79, almost 2,000 stamps housed on early quadrille pages in two Simplex springback albums; starting with 1867 first issues including complete sheets of the ½r-2r issues (flaws) with other mint multiples and nice cancellation study including separate forged cancellation as well as a nice genuine cancellation study of grids, fancies, towns, etc., some 2r issues on portion of overseas covers, nice showing the 1874 "Contra Sello" overprint issues with mint and nice cancellation groups, and a large section of the 1879 issues with lots of mint with gum, print and shade studies and extensive cancellations; a nice real old-time collection and an excellent basis for further continuation.Estimate $1,500 - 2,000.

Samoa, Accumulation, balance of various issues on stock cards, album pages and in stock book; includes various genuine Samoa Express issues mostly identified in stockbook (i.e. 1d state I x6, 6d state I used x4, 1d state II x4, 6d state II x3, 1sh state II x20+) etc., also includes forgery and reprint studies, later issues including modest Palm issue stock and a whole host of surcharge issues with better early, some German issues including forerunner items on piece, and a fair bit of later issues, etc.; much material with careful examination may prove rewarding.Estimate $1,000 - 1,500.

Sarawak, Cancellation Collection, approximately 150 stamps most selected for cancellation but also including a mint #1 (OG!). Some better cancels with 1878 double oval, large part boxed Sarawak Post Office/Registered Letter/ () JUN 82, pretty barred "S" on QV Simanggang, Limbang, over 20 strikes of various different post offices, a group of KGVI cancels. A few faults but overall F-VF.Estimate $200 - 300.
