Mexico, Colima Collection, including ½r two pairs (reconstructed block) and a gorgeous strip of 3, two 1r, five overprinted 2r, two nice 4r (one tied to piece), a cover with half of 4r used as 2r and tied (cover faults, M.E.P.S.I. certificate), but best item is an unoverprinted 2r first shipment tied to small piece by portion of Colima (Schatzkes 178), mostly Very Fine & desirable group.

Mexico, Cuernavaca Collection, of seventeen stamps, two covers & one cover front, one of which has a 2r pair (scarce!), includes two 4r black on yellow, a 1r shows an overall double impression, cancels include four nice examples of the Star of Yguala (Schatzkes 221B), F.-V.F.

Mexico, Durango Collection, of fourteen singles including a ½r, four 4r black on yellow (one with a superb Nazas) plus two fragments with 8r black on red brown quadrisect, plus one on cover franked with 2r, one cover with 4r, plus one front & on cover franked with 4r Bisect (front tied by Papasquiaro straight line), F.-V.F., a nice lot worth examination.

Mexico, Guadalajara-Cocula (Five Stamps), three are ½r black on browns, cancel Cocula (Schatzkes 368), Union de Tula (Schatzkes 406), and "0" (probably Schatzkes 369), a 1r black on green is cancelled Tecolotlan (Schatzkes 397), best item is a 2r gray-black with red Ipala (Schatzkes 384), plus a piece with 4r black on yellow bisect tied by Tecolotlan (Schatzkes 399), it appears that '61s used from Cocula sub-district are much underrated in Schatzkes as this massive collection only included a total of seven items! F.-V.F.

Lot 562 o   

Mexico, Guadalajara-Tepic Group, thirteen stamps and a piece with quarter of an 8r tied by Tepic floral mute (pretty), the six ½r include a reconstructed strip of four (two pairs) with the floral mute of Tepic and one used from Santiago (Schatzkes 435 not recorded on 1861s), three 4r black on yellows and an 8r black on brown are also present, F.-V.F.
